Music Monday | New Problems

Hellllo! Here's your tune for the day. It's called New Problems by Cody Simpson. Now, hearing that it's him you might be apprehensive to listen. But trust me, it's a good one. The first time I heard it (when it dropped 2 months ago) I immediately wondered when he transformed into a Jack Johnson-John Mayer hybrid.

The kid has gone away, made some label changes, taken some time to hone his guitar and song writing skills and has come back, in my opinion, a pretty great artist. Plus, I really enjoy his overall chill, California vibe. So, press play and enjoy.

Music Monday | 2014 Forest Hills Drive - J Cole

SURPRISE SURPRISE! I wandered on to J Cole's website..because I love him like that..and I realized we've never done a #musicmonday on his new album! If you don't already new, I love J Cole! He's definitely one of my favourite mainstream rappers. He's a classic, he tells a story and it's not just about the punchlines. I'm so excited for this album! He's not releasing any singles, just the full album.

He released this "trailer" from the album, which makes me even more excited!

Comprised of Georgia & Caleb Nott, these two released a self-titled EP in January of this year, followed by their debut album “Evergreen” in August (source).

HELLO! I don’t even know where to begin with this weeks’ Music Monday. Today marks the release of One Direction’s fourth studio album, appropriately titled FOUR. 

They’ve been super excited to surprise people with their new sound, and they’ve succeeded. People who heard the album prior to it’s release have been pleasantly surprised (not being fans themselves). So obviously we were anxious to hear what the buzz was about.

Web Wednesday | True Love

This isn't REALLY a viral vid, it's Coldplay performing "True Love" off their album, Ghost Stories.  No, I didn't want to wait until #MusicMonday to share. And yes, I've cried every time I've watched it. The intimate setting, the atmosphere, the set, everything is perfect. When Will comes in on drums, it's magical. Also, Chris Martin's falsetto is my religion.  Enjoy!

Happy Monday! Those two things usually don’t go together, but today they do because Taylor Swift’s fifth studio effort, 1989, was released today! 

Tuesdays Tune ? | Ed Sheerans - Thinking Out Loud

So we kind of missed Music Monday but this video is just too wonderful to wait another 6 days.

Let me start by saying, I was NOT ready for this. Ed Sheeran released the music video for "Thinking Out Loud" last week and I'm in l o v e. It's an amazing song to begin with and now it has an utterly perfect video to go with it. Congrats to whoever came up with the concept, gold stars for you.

He's all dressed up, looking as dashing as ever AND he's ballroom dancing....does it get any better than this ? Who even knew Ed could dance like that ? He's definitely got some hidden talents. I think it's safe to say all those hours of training really paid off, because he has got some sweet moves. Someone please tell me where I sign up to ballroom dance with Ed. That's now the dream.

So thank you Ed, for surprising everyone with those incredible dance moves and a wonderful video, it is greatly appreciated. Enjoy your Tuesday's Tune everyone, hope you enjoy it as much as I did ! :)

   Kay seriously, words can’t express how much we love this girl. We started watching Victorious (don’t judge) about a year ago, so we first saw her as the not-so-bright red headed cutie, Cat Valentine.  Shortly after, we heard her first single, Put Your Hearts Up, and I wasn’t sold. We thought she was another “Nick Kid” who got a record deal. So I went on her YouTube account to get a better idea of her vocal talent and let me tell you, I have never in my life eaten my words so quickly. The girl has pipes like you wouldn’t believe. Her cover of Mariah Carey’s Emotions was on repeat for weeks. Needless to say, I felt uber stupid...

Music Monday | Fall Albums

Hello Dolls! Ugh school has been keeping us SO BUSY! But we're back with a brand new Music Monday. This week we're not featuring a song, or an artist in particular. Since it's the time of year for scarves, and cozy sweaters we figured we'd do a post on two albums that are perfect for Fall!

Fall is the time where we tend to ditch those upbeat, feel-good party anthems for more mellow, calming, cozy music. These are the albums that remind us of pumpkin carving, late walks through the leaves, warm drinks and cool nights.
