Forever 21

Hi dolls!

So, it’s safe to say that I am addicted to Forever 21. Seriously though, what’s not to love? Their clothes and accessories are inexpensive and really cute. I’ve been getting my summer wardrobe ready and obviously that means a few trips to Forever 21, in store AND online.

Shopping in stores is good if you need to try things on before you buy them or if you aren’t always sure about your size. It’s also nice to pay for your clothes and be able to take it home with you. I always like to buy my accessories in store because some accessories don't work on me.

What I like about shopping online at forever – other than the fact that I can shop while in bed – is that you can always exchange the clothes in store or get a store credit. It’s as easy as bringing your receipt and whatever you want to exchange to a store. I hate when you have to ship things back if they don’t fit, such a hassle. I tend to find better deals online AND they have a bigger variety online than in stores. Another bonus to shopping online – the feeling you get when you get home from a long day at school and have a package from Forever 21 with a bunch of new clothes to try on! It’s the best :)

Here are a few of the things I recently bought from Forever 21:

Maxi dresses and skirts all $18.80 & under at Forever 21

Necklaces: $3.80 & under
Bracelets: $11.80 & under
Rings: $4.80 & under
All from Forever 21

Let us know what your favourite stores are and have fun shopping my darlings, kisses!

Sample Showdown!

Hey loves! I've gotten through some samples in the last little bit so I thought I'd give my thoughts on them. This isn't a full review, just some short thoughts on each. I either got these at a drugstore, in a magazine or in the mail! So I didn't have to spend much to get them and it was totally worth it because I may actually buy some of them! ENJOY!

Book Review: Archangel's Kiss

This review is going to be about Archangel's Kiss, book 2 is Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series.

Blurb at the back of the book:
"Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux wakes from a year-long coma to find herself changed—an angel with wings the colours of midnight and dawn—but her fragile body needs time to heal before she can take flight. Her lover, the stunningly dangerous archangel, Raphael, is used to being in control—especially when it comes to the woman he considers his own. But Elena has never done well with authority.

They've barely begun to understand each other when Raphael receives an invitation to a ball from the archangel, Lijuan. To refuse would be a sign of fatal weakness, so Raphael must ready Elena for the flight to Beijing—and to the nightmare that awaits them there. Ancient and without conscience, Lijuan holds a power that lies with the dead. And she has organized the most perfect and most vicious of welcomes for Elena." http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6582637-archangel-s-kiss.

Before I get into the review I am going to start off by saying that you have to read the first book in this series in order to really understand what is going on in this book and not be confused.

Restaurant Review: Lunch Box

Hey everyone! I know it's been a WHILE, and I apologize, school's been killin' me! I went to this super cute restaurant the other day and I thought they totally deserved a blog post because it was just that good!

I went to lunchbox @ 1731 Bloor St. West, yesterday, and I was so please with my experience! First, I love the branding of this restaurant. It's cute, consumer friendly and simple. It totally gives you the "school" feel, with the chalkboard look of the menus and their little details like lunch boxes in their display case!

Music Monday | The Civil Wars

Hi Guys! The latter end of last year and the beginning of this year I’ve gotten more into folk and country music. So for this Music Monday, I wanted to share the album “Barton Hollow” by a band called The Civil Wars with you!

Songwriters Joy Williams and John Paul White make up this folk band, and use hauntingly beautiful melodies and amazing harmonies in every song on the album. I first took notice of this band when their song “Poison & Wine” was featured in the movie “Something Borrowed”. After listening to the song over and over, I decided to take a look at some of their others, and I was hooked. The combination of their voices and the raw nature of their songs was all I needed.

I really love the fact that all I can hear are their two voices, and the minimal instruments they use. There is no feeling of over production, or too much going on. It has a very natural, relaxing, slow-paced feeling. My favourites off the album are definitely “I’ve Got This Friend”, “Barton Hollow”, which are two of the more “upbeat” tracks. “Barton Hollow” makes me feel like I’m in a really bad-ass, gritty, western movie, and “I’ve Got This Friend” makes me feel like I’m sitting on a front porch in the country side. Two of my other favourites are “Poison & Wine” and “The Girl With The Red Balloon”, which are two really slow, haunting tracks. If I’m caught in the right mood, “Poison & Wine” can usually get a tear or two outta me… LOL

If you’re into the folk/country genre, or you’re looking to get into something new, check this band out!

If you do, tell us what you think, or let us know what bands or artists you’re listening to in the comment box below!
