Music Monday | The 20/20 Experience

Hello Loves!

            So this is the first installment of Music Mondays! This is a segment we’ll be doing periodically about some new (or old!) music we’re currently listening to. Hopefully you’ll fall in love with some new artists, or rediscover past obsessions!

Speaking of past obsessions, this year JT announced that he’d be releasing a new album and the 90’s girl in every one of us had our dreams revived (after having them crushed when he announced he was married…). Everyone had been waiting so long for him to return to music, wondering if he ever would, and surely enough he did. And he did it all while looking super dapper might I add:

            Although I’m sure we could all run a blog about how hot JT is, this IS about the album. So as if the news of his new album, and him performing just about everywhere from the Grammy’s to SNL, wasn’t enough, he revealed on March 11^th that the album, "The 20/20 Experience", would be available to stream FOR FREE on iTunes until it’s release. Streaming of the whole album. For Free. Crazy right? So obviously me in all my fangirl glory quickly clicked the link, and I’ve been listening constantly since.

            I will say, some of the songs took some getting used to, and some I still skip over. But others like “Mirrors” and “Blue Ocean Floor”, which happen to be my two absolute favourites, I loved from the first listen. “Blue Ocean Floor” is my go to song when I need to be calm, quiet and relaxed. The way the song makes you feel like you’re floating under the calm ocean waters is unreal. Two of my other favourites are “Pusher Love” and “Strawberry Bubble Gum”.

            The whole album has the “old school crooner” feel that has also been reflected in his new look, but still has the “JT&Timbaland” signature sound.

            If you haven’t checked the album out yet, you can FOR FREE on the iTunes store. Just search Justin Timberlake! And you can also purchase the album when it’s released on March 19^th!

His smooth music and beautiful falsetto will never get old, and I (like everyone else on earth) am so incredibly happy that our main man is back in the spotlight.

Revamp Your Room: Room Accessories!

Hi dolls!

            Welcome to the first post of our “Revamp Your Room” series! This is a series where we’ll be focusing on simple and cost effective ways to update your room décor. Sonia and I decided to redo our room and wanted to show you tons of easy things we’re doing in order to convey our beach theme, while being on a budget. In this first post, we’re dealing with room accessories!

            We had an oval shaped Victorian styled mirror in our main floor bathroom that recently got booted out for a bigger one. So, instead of “out with the old, in with the new” we opted for “in with the new, but revamp the old”.

            This is the mirror we’re sprucing up!

            It’s super easy to change the look of everyday objects. For this project we prepped our garage floor by laying down old sheets of packaging plastic and bubble wrap. You could also use plastic tablecloths or an old sheet. To paint, we used white spray paint and painters tape. You can buy spray paint and painters tape from your local home hardware store or Wal-mart for around $6-$7. Then we got to prepping and spraying the mirror!

Book Review - Nalini Singh (Guild Hunter Series)

I am going to be starting off my book reviews by talking about my favourite authors and series and their books. The first author is Nalini Singh and her Guild Hunter series. The first book in that series is called Angels' Blood, the authors blurb from the back of the book is as follows:

Anokhi Media 50th Anniversary Party!

Hey guys! I was very lucky to be in a Fashion Show for Anokhi Magazine and I thought I'd share some pictures with you. It was such an awesome event, there were celebrities: Priyanka Chopra, Jay Sean, Anjulie, Melinda Shankar (to name a few), and singing, dancing, performances and lots of awards!

Hey everyone! So incase you haven't noticed there's been a bit of a blog re-vamp! liveshivnow.blogspot.ca is NO MORE! I decided to include my cousins in my blogging life since they have different areas of interest than I do, and I thought it would make my blog more versatile! Plus, I just though it would be fun! So I wanted to introduce you guys to my lovely cousins! There will be more about us on the "ABOUT US" page, but I thought I'd share some pictures of us.

We're very close, and we're super excited and happy that we're going on this blogging journey together!
