Music Monday | We Can't Stop

    Hey-llloooo! Welcome to Music Monday. This week, we're featuring Miley Cyrus' new song, "We Can't Stop". This is another song that we're adding to our "Favourite Summer Jams" list.

    A lot of people have recently voiced their opinions of the "wild child" Miley, but love her or hate her, this new song is catchy and care free, and that's exactly what we love about it! also, not caring about the hate people throw at you is kinda what the song is about. so, Miley, do your thing. and you guys, check out this weeks featured song!

Music Monday | Lady Antebellum

     Hellllooo! Welcome to another Music Monday! This week, we're featuring a country band called "Lady Antebellum".

     I started really paying attention to this amazing group after they released their single "Need You Now" in 2009. I then decided to check out their other work and I immediately fell in love. Members Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood work so well as a collective with respect to the writing and the vocals. Plus, I think Charles is super cute LOL 

    They have four albums out currently: Lady Antebellum, Need You Now, Own The Night and most recently, Golden. As it stands,"Own the Night" is my favourite, although I haven't had a chance to check out all of "Golden" yet! My family and I have had "Own the Night" in our car  for over a year and still play it incessantly.  

    "Downtown" is their new single off of "Golden", and as with all other Lady A songs, I'm hooked!



   There's a bit of dialogue at the beginning, the actual song starts at the 1:33 mark for those of you wondering!

   Whether you're a long time country fan, or you're just getting into the country groove, enjoy this little number by this week's featured band :)

Music Monday | Pretty Brown Eyes

    Hi Guys & Dolls! It's summer, it's hot. You need some good summer tunes to be the soundtrack to those beautiful summer days. We did a post on our "Favourite Summer Jams", and "Pretty Brown Eyes" by Cody Simpson has just been added to the list. Don't let the fact that it's by Cody Simpson deter you. You don't have to be a tween to enjoy yourself some songs by this Australian cutie :)

    It's has a really relaxed, pool party feeling, and it talks about a girl with "Pretty Brown Eyes" which I'm all in favour of because, well, i have brown eyes LOL. Enjoy!
